Brutal Storm

Last night one of the worst storms rolled through, and I wasn't even able to protect or comfort my baby! Thank goodness CiCi took very good care of him. I was in Las Colinas at a work dinner, and we had no idea how severe the storm was as we enjoyed our steaks. Luckily the storm had passed as I had to drive home and I could see it off in the distance. As I was pulling into our neighborhood there was a townhome on fire, so I had to take an alternate street into the neighborhood. (The townhome was unoccupied, thank goodness, and power lines had fallen on it). Trees were down everywhere, and the power was out. Jackson and CiCi were sitting in the inner hallway of the house during the storm and apparantly Jackson was so still and knew something wasn't quite right. Our power was out until 8am this morning. Thankfully we didn't have any damage. But here are a few pictures of our neighbhors gorgeous bradford pear that the storm destroyed. Debbie is heartsick, as this is a tree they've watched grow over the years and her boys loved to climb. Bryan is over there now helping them get it chopped up.
