Storm Damage

I finally was able to find time to post on my blog, and blogger was acting strange last week and I couldn't upload pictures...excuses, excuses. Well, I'm back, with a bit of catching up to do.

When I was in Houston the week before last, North Texas got hit by a HUGE storm....and our area of the metroplex got hit very hard. We lost parts of 4 tress (we're hoping to save at least two of them), our security gate across the driveway blew off the track, and we have some roof damage (insurance adjuster coming next week to asess it). Our neighbor found his chimney cap two streets over! And another neighbor lost their chimney alltogether. Luckily, Bryan wasn't working that night, and Cici was here to help with Jackson. I can't believe I was sleeping soundly in my hotel room when all this was going on, but I guess it was better that way. At least everyone stayed safe!

There are some HUGE trees down in the neighborhood, and lots of fences. Here are just two pics from our yard. And this was after Bryan and two friends did all the clean up. Our neighbor, Don, has since fixed his fence (he's the one that put that up).
